What to Expect

We understand that saddle fitting can feel overwhelming, even for the most experienced riders, that’s why our process is designed to be clear, supportive, and pressure-free. From the moment we begin, our goal is to guide you and your horse through every step with confidence and clarity.

During your fitting, we will carefully evaluate your horse’s back, symmetry, and musculature, assessing saddle fit both statically and dynamically. We’ll observe you riding to ensure proper balance and alignment, and provide recommendations, whether that means making adjustments to your current saddle or working with you to select an option that meets your needs. Every decision is made with your horse’s comfort and movement in mind, while making sure the saddle supports you for optimal balance, communication, and long-term enjoyment.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clear plan and complete confidence in the fit and function of your saddle. Our approach ensures that you have the opportunity to feel the difference a saddle that supports both you and your horse feels like. Making you both balanced, comfortable, and effective in every ride.

About Meghan

It all began with the love for a horse. Which turned into a passion for well-fitting saddles. And then an opportunity to support equestrians all over the Midwest, allowing them to achieve their dreams.

I began my career in saddle fitting after watching my mentor thoroughly, thoughtfully, and safely saddle fit my growing Thoroughbred gelding for over 7 years.

During this time I built my career as a Certified Surgical First Assistant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and worked part-time for a local FEI dressage rider, trainer, and instructor.

Recently, I decided to change my career and pursue my passion of helping horse owners support both their own needs as well as the needs of their horse.  Ann Jacobson with Jacobson’s Saddlery graciously took me under her wing and has spent countless hours teaching me the ropes of this intricate career, and continues to do so!

In addition to working with a mentor, have begun my education through the North American Saddlery School, in conjunction with the Society of Master Saddlery, and have become an SMS Trainee.  Over the course of the next few years, with the education and support of my mentor, I will continue pursuing becoming a Qualified Saddle Fitter.

In the meantime I have the great pleasure of working with a variety of horse owners and their horses to find well-fitting saddles to bring out the best in both horse and rider.
